Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween! I hope to see all of you this weekend. Please feel free to invite your friends to join us for the Saturday and Sunday events. We have been doing lots of Halloween arts and crafts and learning to count by 2’s, 3’s and 4’s.

Sunny has been so well behaved this last week. It’s like she’s a whole new girl. She has been focused and attentive in class. Keep up the great work!

Lily has been doing solid work. She’s a real wiz at math. Keep it up.

Lauren has been much better about taking individual responsibility for her eye patches and has been wearing her new glasses everyday.

Esther has had a good week. We had fun cooking chocolate peanut butter fudge bars on Tuesday.

Frank has been getting very excited about the Haunted House. I hope he has fun!

Jerry is turning into a real math wiz. Great work!

Evie has been doing solid work. Great job!

Eliza has been having a hard time focusing in class. I hope she comes back ready to work on Monday.

Carson is working so hard. Keep it up!

Henry had a crying fit because he couldn’t find his water bottle yesterday. He shouldn’t let such small things get to him.

Samson has some trouble focusing in class sometimes. We’ll work on this.

Happy Birthday Sunny!!!

We’ve had a productive week and have continued talking about ways to be more efficient, at home and at school. We’re all very excited about getting ready for Halloween!

Sunny, for the most part, has had a great week. She earned the little teacher job for the first time. This morning, when we were at the park for our PE class, she ran off from the group, fell over and skinned her knee. We spoke later about how important it is for us to stay together when we’re not on campus.

Lily had a good week except for Wednesday. She got into a bit of trouble for not following the rules three times. We have spoken about it.

Lauren has had another good week. We’re all very excited about Halloween. She has begun to take responsibility for the eye patches by herself. On Wednesday she put them on first thing both times. I’ll keep my eye on her but she’s making great progress.

I was happy to see Esther’s New Mexico shirt on Tuesday. I know she’s very happy that her father is home and I’m sorry that none of our letters got through. I put a return address on the one we sent via post. If it comes back, I will send it home with her.

Frank has been doing better. Thank you so much for making sure he arrives to school on time this week. It really is very important that he makes it here before 9. Thanks again.

Jerry has been doing good work and making good progress. I will work with him on being more attentive to his handwriting.

Evie does very good work in class. She seems very happy and has adjusted very well to our class but sometimes I think she might be more challenged at a higher level.

Tricia is a wonderful addition to our class and I’m happy to have her. She has adjusted very quickly and is doing good work.

Eliza is very bright and doing great work. Sometimes she has a little bit of trouble focusing but we’re working on it.

Carson is working very hard and making great progress. Big improvement here. Keep it up.

Henry is working hard when he focuses but he still need constant reminders to stay on task. I’d like to see him taking responsibility for his own work individually.

Samson is very bright and has serious concentration issues. We’re working on it, but he needs constant reminders to stay on task.

Week 11

We’ve been talking about completing tasks efficiently this week. Whether it’s eating lunch, putting on our shoes, doing our homework or getting ready for school, this is an area we could all improve on.

Sunny has had another extremely productive week. Keep it up.

Lily and I spoke about efficiency earlier. We will continue working on it.

Lauren and I spoke about taking responsibility the eye patches by herself. We’ll see how it goes. She has been better about completing her work independently.

Esther has been helpful as little teacher this week. We had fun writing a letter to her father on Tuesday.

Jerry has had a great week. He’s been productive, happy and well behaved.

Frank seems to be in a bit of a funk. He has trouble finishing his meals and focusing in class. He seems tired. Is he sleeping enough at home?

Evie is doing very well and is such a smart girl. Sometimes, it’s hard for her to pay attention in class.

Elisa has had a good week. She has been god about focusing and not speaking out of turn.

Samson has been more and more disruptive in class. He needs to calm down during class time.

Carson has been making great progressed and has been focusing well. His hard work is paying off.

Henry got in big trouble today. On five separate occasions I asked him to repeat the sentence just read by a classmate. He didn’t know what had been said or where we were in the book. He needs to focus in class.

Double 10 Day

We’ve had a great week and are just finishing up our lion puppets this morning. Happy Double Ten Day everybody! I hope you all enjoy your long weekend.

Sunny is like an all new girl. She’s improved dramatically over the last few weeks. She’s much more focused in class and she ha been behaving more appropriately.

Lily came back from her trip in very high spirits. Thank you for the post cards. We had fun talking about the beach and what you can see there in class on Monday.

Lauren told me yesterday that she doesn’t need to wear her new glasses in class. She seems to be taking responsibility for this herself, which is great; I’d just like to check to make sure we’re on the same page. I hope you both have a great weekend.

Esther has been doing great work. We had fun baking brownies on Tuesday. Keep it up.

Frank arrived after 9:30 everyday this week. Please try to get him to school on time. This morning we continued working on an ongoing arts and crafts project as a group. When one student falls behind, it becomes very complicated.

Jerry has been doing great work. It’s good to see him healthy and happy. From time to time he complains about his skin itching. I always tell him not to scratch. Is there anything else I can do when it gets really bad?

Eliza has been doing great work. She always comes to class with such a lovely attitude. She needs to work on staying on task in class. When it’s not her turn, she tends to doze off.

Evie has continued to improve. It’s nice to see how well she has adjusted to our class. She has firmly claimed her place as one of the brightest pupils in the class. Keep up the great work.

Samson is a very smart boy and when he focuses he does very good work. I have to remind him regularly to stay on task. Without direct supervision, he will space out. He needs to learn to work independently.

Carson is improving. His reading still needs work, but he’s getting there.

Henry has made some very important steps academically. I hope he will continue on this same track.
